New Painting: Equinox

This painting was completed during my Akron Soul Train residency, so technically not that new, but made in 2019 and it hasn't been widely circulated. "Equinox" 30x30 inches, oil on canvas. A lot of bits and pieces in this painting were created in 3D modeling software (which I am still getting the hang of) and… Continue reading New Painting: Equinox

‘Illustrious Decay’ Opening Night

Thank you to everyone who came from near and far and attended the "Illustrious Decay" opening at CWAL and 78th Street Studios. This was my first time since my days at CalArts I had done an installation piece let alone a collaborative one. Jen Omaitz led me through it because I kind of had zero… Continue reading ‘Illustrious Decay’ Opening Night

OAC Biennial Juried Exhibition, 2017

Selected from more than 300 applications, the exhibition features contemporary works of art including installation, sculpture, drawing, painting, photography, and… Continue reading OAC Biennial Juried Exhibition, 2017

I also hear there will be real cats there to adopt! Opens Friday, June 16th 5pm-9pm at the ArtNEO Museum… Continue reading ArtMeow

An Empty Calendar Is Death, After All

This will be very different work for me and it's the first time I'll be having a dedicated show of the new direction I've been going in. I read a horoscope a few months back saying that for me, as a Gemini, unveiling a new creative direction in public in June was the worst time to do so and it would not be well received. I normally don't put much stock into horoscopes -- let alone the Astro Twins -- but the description was a little too on the mark and specific with my situation as I was negotiating a gallery space. I'm glad the show got moved to the late fall!

New Painting: Heartbreaker

"Heartbreaker" 12x12 inches, oil on canvas. I'm pretty much booked on commissions through the summer, however, I have been wanting to get back to this series for ages. Good thing is I can sometimes work on it in-between layers drying on my commissioned work! (click the image to zoom in)
