For whatever reason, I’ve been interested in Meissen pieces. While on the one hand I find them fussy and in bad taste, I can see how it would work if you over did things — in the spirit of Tony Duquette.
I suppose they are rather sweet; something my grandmother would have loved no doubt, and if you cluttered a table setting with them, I think it could work. Especially in a dining room with gilt, silver, gold, anything like that. Surely not for the minimalist.
