An interesting take on what museums are doing to boost attendance. Pop Surrealism, Low Brow, Urban and whatever you want to call it has been slowly gaining more ground, especially in the past 7 years or so. The Monet exhibit this ain’t. When the Laguna Beach Museum is hosting a show based around Juxtapoz Magazine, and Mark Ryden and Marion Peck paintings are going for close to a million dollars — you know a change has come.
