I’m going to be in the DC area for the 1st time in a decade for my show with Brandi Read opening on Saturday. If you are in the area you should come and check it out. I’m driving in with some Cleveland friends as well, should be fun. Going to have to make a stop at the Smithsonian for the National Portrait Gallery — you know — the “real” one that the Portrait Society of America thought would sue me? I still laugh at it. Anywhoo, here’s the info on the show…
Art Whino presents Innocence & Arrogance: The Art of Arabella Proffer and Brandi Read. These two pop-surrealist and neo-realist women artists have teamed up to create an exciting exhibition of Punks, Goths, Muses, Models and Royalty. Both artists’ exquisitely rendered subjects go beyond the typical portrait, encompassing uniquely distinctive vitality and style, and exposing viewers to both of their whimsical insights and flights of imagination.
